In today’s episode of Board Game Impact. We’re not GONNA have a full episode because this is a special announcement. So how’d y’all? It’s Bruce it’s just me today. This is going to be a very short episode because we have an episode coming out tomorrow I’m so if you’re listening to this in real time today is Monday and tomorrow is Tuesday. So we have our next episode coming up tomorrow. But I wanted to make this announcement because there’s some things going on that I wanna make you aware of so. Since recording a episode is GonNa Launch Tomorrow Josh and I found out about and have gotten involved with extra life. So Extra Life is a nonprofit here in the US It’s been around since two thousand eight and they benefit children’s miracle network hospitals, and so since two thousand eight, they’ve donated to seven hundred seventy million dollars man my word right now I’m blown away for a reason I’m going to get in second. That’s why I’m a little tripping over my words of they’ve donated over seventy million dollars to children’s miracle network. And this year, they’re doing a tabletop appreciation weekends. This is in the month of August of twenty twenty in the midst of the pandemic and people starting to go back to school, and with that, there’s a lot of people who need help. And especially kids. And help help with hospital things isn’t something that a kid or a family with kids should really have to worry about and so. They’re also partnering this year with Children’s hospitals covid nineteen really fund, and that’s why they’re doing this table top appreciation window, and so with that being said Josh, end every single episode with go of positive impact on the world, and as soon as we heard about this since recording tomorrow’s episode, we said we have to do this like this is an absolute. So they’re tabletop appreciation weekend is August twenty, six, twenty, second and twenty third? So, we’re instill some the logistics. But we are planning to do a stream. So probably on Youtube of us, playing games with friends, even recording an episode of board game impact live timing still to be worked out. Until then we thought this is a great name to bring this together because it’s not just board game impact it’s our friends it’s family. Align gamers to make positive impact and so table top lines is what we’re going with for a team name. So I set a goal that I was like, okay I’ve never done this before. Kovic, made some interesting times. And within twelve hours that goal was shattered. And it was a couple of hundred. So I’m beyond thankful for that and Josh Posted Hayes a couple hours ago and he’s already more than halfway to his goal.
